Olivia was born in Surabaya in 1992, she started learning music at age 4, she learned piano instrument at first, at age 7 for violin instrument and when she was 8, she learned guzheng instrument. When she was a child, Olivia often participate in so many competitions and examinations, one of them is Associated Board of the Royal School of Music for piano and violin examination.

At age 13, she started her career as a music teacher. Besides of music teacher, Olivia often performs in events and tv programs. In 2013, Olivia continued her study to China. She took a bachelor of teaching chinese as a foreign language and continued learning guzheng to the higher level. She used to perform in various events as a guzheng performer in China.

After coming back to Indonesia, she was active in teaching music and mandarin language for the second time, and performed in so many events.

Finally, in 2015 she launched her first album called “Bless the Lord O My Soul”. Olivia has a mission the she hopes there will be more people who can conserve this unique music instrument and hopes that it can represent Indonesia’s culture for example like playing national songs by playing guzheng (The videos can be watched on Youtube, channel : Olivia Lin Guzheng).
